SKSA Baseball Tournaments

Welcome to the Home of SKSA Baseball Tournaments

Spring-Klein Baseball hosts baseball tournaments throughout the year for all classifications. We hope to to have the opportunity to crown your team as one of our tournament champions.

All Spring-Klein hosted events are either non-sanctioned or sanctioned by Nations Baseball, however Spring-Klein facilities are also used by other independent groups which may host events sanctioned by other affiliations such as USSSA. Please note that the appropriate rules specific to the affiliation sanctioning the event will be applied. The tournament schedule will indicate which organization is hosting the event and the sanctioning affiliation.

The NO SLASH rule is in effect for all SKSA tournaments in ages 12U and below.

SKSA Tournament Rules

The "no-slash" rule is in effect at SKSA run tournaments.

The no-slash rule is for ages 12 & below.  When a batter, in the umpires judgement, squares to show bunt, he may not pull back and swing away.  This is classified as a safety rule.  The penalty is that the batter is declared out, runners may not advance and the 3rd base coach receives a warning.  On a subsequent infraction the 3rd base coach will also be ejected.  This is a separate rule from the "squeeze rule", where with a runner on 3rd attempting to steal home, the batter must bunt or take the pitch.  COACHES - do not teach your corner infielders to crash to close in a "slash" situation.  Again, this is a safety rule, if the batter should accidentally swing away, your fielder could be seriously injured.  If we feel that coaches are teaching the fielders to crash, we will remove this rule from our events.
